Two Stabbed At Lollapalooza - Two men who got into a fight with each other late Saturday in Grant Park, Two Stabbed At Lollapalooza, just after the Lollapalooza music festival ended, in which one of them slashed the other with a knife, will not pursue charges against each other, police said.Both men have “refused to pursue this any further,” and no charges will be filed, police News Affairs Officer Laura Kubiak said.
The fight occurred in the 300 block of South Columbus Drive at 11:19 p.m., police News Affairs Ron Gaines said.
Two men, both in their 20s, were with a group of people when they got into an argument that turned physical, Gaines said. One of the men pulled out a knife and cut the other man in the cheek.
The suspect also cut himself in the hand with the knife, Gaines said. Both where taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and are listed in good condition Sunday morning. Police did not know what the two men were arguing about.
Authorities couldn’t say for sure whether the incident was related to the Lollapalooza music festival. The fest ended in Grant Park about 10:45 p.m., later than previously scheduled after thunderstorms temporarily forced fans to evacuate the park Saturday evening.
