Serena Williams Crip Walk

Serena Williams Crip Walk - Serena Williams not only won gold at the 2012 Olympics, did Crip Walk; the reigning Wimbledon champion did a dance called the "Crip Walk." So excited after a victory over Maria Sharapova, Serena showed a little "street" Snoop Lion was proud of.

Saturday, E!Online reported the Olympic medal results of the women's tennis match with Williams and Sharapova.

Serena trounced her opponent to capture her first "Golden Slam," a term coined in 1988 that refers to a player winning a career Grand Slam followed by an Olympic Gold in tennis singles.

Serena Williams wins gold at Wimbledon and more over Maria Sharapova.

Williams is the first to win a "Golden Slam" in both women's singles and doubles (with Venus Williams) in the Olympic Games.

When Serena Williams did an Olympic 2012 dance called the "Crip Walk," she deserves a gold medal for being the first to drop-it-like-it's hot on the world stage.

"Crip Walking" is a dance made famous by Snoop Lion (formally Dogg). In many of his early videos, he dances a street-dance as part of his gangster lifestyle he once lived on the West Coast.

Serena, obviously not a "G," did her Olympic-style dance likely in celebration of her strength and resilience from injuries and blood clots that nearly claimed her life. While it's not likely a dance one does in front of the Queen of England, it is fitting, given the obstacles she overcame to get her game back.

Speaking of Snoop Lion, he sent a congratulatory tweet after Serena defeated Maria Sharapova to win an Olympic gold medal in women's singles tennis.
