Alex Trebek Retiring From ‘Jeopardy’? - He’ll take “Back at Work” for all the money in his paycheck. Quiz show king Alex Trebek, 72, returned to the “Jeopardy!” set at Sony Pictures Studios Tuesday for his first taping since suffering a heart attack last month, a show spokesman said.
“He is in good health and already planning home improvement projects,” the rep said.
A photo showed the silver-haired host smiling with the first three contestants of the new season.
The trivia titan was hospitalized June 23 and underwent extensive testing at Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, a Sony spokeswoman said last month.
Trebek, who suffered an earlier heart attack in 2007, made headlines last July when he woke up to the sounds of a woman rifling through his belongings in a San Francisco hotel room.
He chased the alleged burglar before falling and tearing his Achilles tendon.
The woman, 56-year-old Lucinda Moyers, was charged with stealing a bracelet, purse and $661 in cash.
